Microsoft bets for a 7" tablet, hearing users requests worldwide.
Microsoft’s 7-inch New Surface could be entering a mass production stage later this 2013, altough they stated last year that smaller tablet wasn’t part of the company’s strategy.

Microsoft plans to integrate the gaming technologies of their consoles in new surfaces, and it's definitively a great step up. We don't have a release date but this movement could improve sales in the furture.
At the other hand, with prices between $450USD and $1400USD, you can get Surface RT and Surface PRO.
Microsoft Surface RT 7" adopts Windows RT, the brand-new version of Windows 8 designed for ARM platform, while Surface PRO 10" is an Intel version running Windows 8 Pro on a 1.7GHz Core i5 CPU.

The Surface Pro offers a full Windows 8 experience that works with older Windows software titles, and boldly stuffs the entire PC experience into a sleek and appealing tablet body that's just a tad thicker and heavier than the RT version. The only downside is that the battery life is short, and more ports would be nice.
What remains now is to wait for the new tablet launch, the Surface Mini 7".
